About Mary & Bill Dillon
Mary and Bill are from Virginia Beach, VA and have been married since 1988. Bill has owned Abbey Road Restaurant at the Virginia Beach oceanfront since 1982. Mary has been a financial planner since 1988. They love spending family time with their 3 daughters and traveling whenever they can - often to Elbow Cay!

Why Mary & Bill chose Elbow Cay
Bill and Mary first visited the Abacos by boat in the late 80’s and immediately fell in love with Hope Town and Elbow Cay. After having three beautiful daughters in the early 90’s, they began renting houses around the island, mostly Tilloo Cut (the home that would become Barefoot Bay). In 1997, they decided to purchase a lot in Marnie’s Creek, which they named Barefoot Beach. They began construction in 2002 and their house was completed in early 2003. They designed the house themselves, with the help of a friend, to accommodate three families, as that was how they were vacationing during that time and usually had to rent two or three houses. At the time, they were one of the few houses available that offered six bedrooms. They purchased Tilloo Cut in 2005 when it went up for sale and named it Barefoot Bay as a sister property to Barefoot Beach. They added a third pod to add three more bedrooms (total of six) to make it more family friendly. Their family has thoroughly enjoyed staying at their beach homes and hearing stories from wonderful renters like you, as well.

Barefoot Beach and Barefoot Bay are truly homes away from home. Bill & Mary hope their guests enjoy the houses just as much as they do.
